The assembly touched on its future and the further cooperation of civil-iniative and uprising groups in Slovenia. The assembly also discussed the introduction of house rules and codes of conduct for the assembly, as well as its future goals. Participants from different organizations and groups said they needed one another to prevent the country from falling apart.

The first extraordinary People's Assembly was held in Ljubljana on the 6th of May where those gathered raised their voices against constitutional changes.
The first regular session of the assembly was later held in Ajdovščina.
