At a press-conference today Interior Ministry State Secretary Boštjan Šefic explained that the situation was much calmer compared to previous days. There are no major problems to report and at 6 a.m. this morning "only" a good five thousand refugees entered Slovenia in the past 24 hours. The number of arrivals has been steadily decreasing. Figures from the Balkans also suggest that the situation is calming down.

More than 105 thousand refugees have entered the country until now. Almost 84 thousand of them have already exited Slovenia. The rest are still in the country. At the moment 49 people have requested for asylum in Slovenia. The new system of registering refugees at the Dobova train station continues to function well. The situation in the area around Brežice is also improving. Meanwhile as far as Šentilj is concerned, a new temporary railway platform will be set up closer to the accommodation center. It will shorten the refugees’ walk to the centre and traffic will no longer have to be brought to a halt because of the transfer of refugees.
