The ten-day film festival in Angers came to an end on January 26. It is dedicated to European first films, and is aimed to help young film-makers meet their audience.

Another successful Slovenian director was Janez Lapajne. He received two awards for his short film Kdo se boji črnega moža? (Who's Afraid of the Black Man?). At the American Montgomery film festival, taking place on January 24, won the Best Film Award and the Audience Award, among 14 films. Thus, Lapajne's film became the no. winner of the festival, showcasing short films from all over the world.
