The festival will last until the 15th September. Opening the festival will be the Dutch-Norwegian and Slovenian coproduction Bestiaires directed by Duda Paiva. The selector of the festival Uroš Trefalt has selected 11 performances that will be presented in the competitive programme. Most of the performances of the competitive programme are works of the Puppet Theatre Maribor and of the Puppet Theatre Ljubljana but also of the Puppet Theatre Fru Fru, the Theatre AEIOU and the society Moment.

The director of the Puppet Theatre Maribor Mojca Redjko stated that an important goal of the biennial is the exchange of experience among puppet artists and the promotion of Slovenian puppetry arts as around 20 selectors from abroad as well as puppet theatre directors will attend the festival.

The festival has also an interesting accompanying programme with exhibitions of puppets and lectures.
