The Council of the Institute appointed the two by a majority vote in a secret ballot. The appointment must now be approved by the government. The two directors say that the situation in health care will be even more difficult next year than it was before. Both advocated transparency in all areas for the benefit of patients. Vrhunec said that the Medical Centre had seen financial loss solely because it treated more patients than the health fund was willing to pay for. Otherwise he said that they did their best to lower material and labor costs in the past two years.
