To reduce the number of workplace accidents the European commission has prepared a new strategic healthcare and work security plan for the 6 upcoming years. The framework is already prepared but it still has to be adopted and implemented by the upcoming EU-commission. In Slovenia work related accidents cause around 400 million EUR of costs to firms and society per year.
