Many among them warn of the traps of small businesses that can show themselves in a frozen medical insurance. The rise of private entrepreneurs in the time of the economic crisis is, according to experts, due to lower expenses and the state giving out subventions for self-employment.
Since 2008 more than 20.000 people received subventions, for which the state used more than 90 million euros. Individuals that decided to open a small business mainly to receive a subvention today warn of the dangers of self-employment. Among the 61.000 registered private entrepreneurs are many, who can’t close their small businesses because of unsettled payments. At the end of last year more than 10.000 private entrepreneurs had a frozen health insurance.
According to statistical data, five years ago, 13.000 private entrepreneurs were at the brink of poverty while today, 21.000 of them live in poverty.
