Danijel Poslek reports for Radio Slovenija that the situation in Središče ob Dravi is relatively calm. On the other side of the border, towards the village of Trnovec, Croatian police is still holding back many refugees. Heavy rain is making the situation even more difficult.
Early this morning Slovenia’s police allowed 150 people to enter the country. Around 8 a.m. another 350 people were also let through and taken to reception centres. Later they will be transferred to accommodation centres near Šentilj. According to reporter Danijel Poslek that will be the practice all day today. The Gruškovje border crossing is currently empty.
Due to the arrival of big numbers of refugees, the international Središče ob Dravi border crossing with Croatia will remain closed for all other traffic.
