Jana is one of the winners of the 15th ITS (International Talent Support), the prestigious international contest which annually brings together the most talented designers from the fashion world.

This year almost 1000 portfolios have been received. 41 chosen finalists presented their work in Trieste. Jana convinced the commission with her work, and won one of the ITS awards; she excelled in the ITS Artwork category and received the Swatch award.

She convinced the commission for the mention category with a piece "encouraging contemplation and self-reflection": "From the Swatch materials sent to us to use in our work I made crystal-like elements, and a pocket for a magnifying glass through which you look in the mirror and thus observe your magnified eye one-on-one. The emotions are also magnified in the reflection. The object is very intimate, and allows a special experience."
Jana is going to Switzerland
The Swatch Award comes with EUR 10,000 of prize money, and six-month internship in the creative laboratory of the well-renowned brand of the watch producer Swatch in Zürich. She has already met the Swatch team, as some of them acted as members of the commission. Jana says that the team led by Carl Giacometti is truly exceptional, and radiates fantastic energy. "I have the impression that such team makes a lot of things possible, and is susceptible to changes. I see them as very enterprising, and smart. I wanted to know whether I would be able to create “hands-on”, and what kind of machines they have – and was very very pleased with their answers. I love new machines," Jana explained excitedly. She also met some of the previous winners, who had decided to remain at Swatch after completing their internship, and they told her about their experiences there. "I see this as an opportunity and a challenge, perhaps for expressing those of my characteristics which are still hidden inside me, but I feel they exist. I would like to contribute my part by working in the team."

At the 15th ITS Jana managed to enter the finals in two categories; in the ITS Artwork category she won, as has already been mentioned, but she was among the finalists also in the ITS Accessories category.
