The coalition and the opposition parties both support early elections and called for them to be held as soon as possible. Bratušek estimated the elections could already be held on 22nd of June.

The Prime Minister yesterday in Brdo stressed that the coalition government had fulfilled its promises, so despite her decision to resign and the end of the government there is no reason for panic.

Some legal experts doubt that elections would be held before the summer recess. Professor at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana Rajko Pirnat points out that elections on 22nd June will not be feasible, since it would mean that they would have to announce the date on 13th May.
