Strong winds and torrential rain have left some places without electricity. In Carinthia and in the town of Grosuplje, as well as at Planina over Horjul hail has been reported and people living in Jezersko have been surprised by snow last night.
Some other residents have had trouble with fallen trees, flooded basements, strong lightning and fire. Lightning caused a fire in a house in Trbovlje, while in Gaj over Maribor lightning has burned down three telephone poles.
Power outages have been reported in several places across the country with more than 1400 people affected. Due to tides and strong winds the sea has also flooded the lowest part of the coast in Piran.
