The eight recommendations have been served as part of the Commission's assessments on EU countries' fiscal and reform plans.

The EU Commission said that Slovenia was tackling excessive macroeconomic imbalances, but that the risks remained high. According to the Finance Ministry and IMAD, the government's macroeconomic forecaster, the recommendations were not a surprise.
