Most of them, i.e. 5,927, were born in Ljubljana. The city averaged 16 births per day. The lightest baby girl weighed in at 370 grams, while the heaviest baby boy tipped the scales weighing 5,730 grams.

89 percent of all babies born in Ljubljana weighed from 2,500 to 4,499 grams, while 1 percent weighed less than 1 kilogram. The last baby born in 2015 was delivered at 22:56. The baby girl tipped the scales at 3,390 grams.

Birth rate on the rise between 2003 and 2010
The final number of babies born in 2015 is not yet known, but given that 3 percent of all births are multiple births, the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) put the number at around 20.300+. NIJZ started recording births in 2003, when 17,160 children were born. The birth rate was on the rise between 2003 and 2010, but it again started to decline in 2011.
