Many basements were flooded, some landslides were triggered and many regional roads are still completely blocked. While there have been quite a few traffic accidents during the night, reports say no one was seriously injured. In Pečke in the municipality Makole, firefighters saved a man from a flooded house and, in Štore; they saved a man that fell into the river Voglajna. In Bele Vode in the municipality Šoštanj a citizen fell approximately 5m deep into a stream and broke his leg.

The environmental agency explained that watercourses in upper parts of rivers are already calming down, but rivers Dravinja, Rogatnica, Metinjščica, Sotla, Voglajna and Savinja in its lower course are still flooding, as well as some smaller rivers in the Posavje and Posotelje area. Rivers in the Slovenjske Gorice and in Prekmurje are rising, so meteorologists warn of minor floodings at riverbeds there.

The river Krka is expected to rise for the next few hours , settle down at midday at around 320m3/s.
