The parliamentary committee for Slovenians Abroad gave green light to Gorazd Žmavc as candidate for Minister today. He was nominated despite disapproval from several opposition members of the commission.

Seven members of the committee voted in his favour, three were against the nomination. Žmavc will succeed Tina Komel from Positive Slovenia who had to resign due to a swap of ministries between the PS party and Pensioners Party DESUS. DESUS gave up the health ministry but wanted to keep two resorts in the government.
