Following a government session the minister gave a statement that the government has approved an additional 50 new employments in the police, which means a total of more than 300 additional employments, which should ease the burden regarding staffing issues within the police. As TV Slovenija journalist Tjaša Potisk reports, the minister is convinced that there is no need to intensify the strike as the government has "done everything to enable the effective continuation of the negotiations".

After the government session the Minister of Public Administration, Boris Koprivnikar, said the position the police was in was "not as catastrophic as the unions portray it to be".
