The offer was labelled as the most suitable for the construction of a university campus in the Upper Vipava Valley.

The decision was adopted unanimously by the Management Board of the University at last night's session. However, before buying the land the board set a six-month deadline for the local community to correct certain deficiencies.

Furthermore, the area of about 6 to 9 hectares needs to be landscaped first.

According to the University’s Rector, Danilo Zavrtanik, Vipava has offered them a chance to construct a classic American-style of a university campus.

25 million euros would be needed to kick-start the construction.
