According to the latest survey carried out by the Organization for Economic Security and Development (OECD) only 18 percent of the respondents still trust Slovenia’s government. That's 30 percent less than in 2007. Slovenia's has had five governments since then. In the eyes of people, it is obvious that every subsequent government did a poorer job than its predecessors.

Governments with similar poor results are the Greek (with a trust of only 19 percent, which is 19% less than in 2007) and Spanish (with a trust of only 21 percent, which is 27 percent less than in 2007) cabinets.

Countries where governments are trusted the most are Switzerland (75 percent), India (73 percent) and Norway (70 percent). And although Indians have high trust in their government, it is still nine percent less than it was in 2007.

The biggest jump regarding people's trust was recorded by the Russian government (a jump of 27 percent - the government is now trusted by 64 percent of the respondents). German Chancellor Angela Merkel is also doing a good job, as trust in her leadership has jumped by 25 percent. Merkel enjoys the trust of 60 percent of the respondents.
