Radio Slovenia reports that, as the rate of immunisation of population against this contagious disease is questionable, new cases of measles are to be expected.
All citizens above the age of 30 are therefore urged to verify whether they had been vaccinated. In the opposite case two doses of vaccine with an interval of one month is advised, and an additional dose of vaccination for those who had already been vaccinated.
The relevant data on vaccination can be found in vaccination record cards (yellow, or white), or in the records kept by personal physicians. Health Care Centre Idrija informs that vaccination of adults for measles is self-funded; a single dose costs 12 euros.
