Slovenia now stands out among European countries in terms of low employment rates for the elderly. The consequences are obvious: in addition to a shrinking pension fund, more and more retirees are struggling with meager pensions.

ZPIZ jumped in last year to help with 140 million euros. At least that much – plus as much as 10 million more – will be required this year.
