He said he wanted to reach at least one top ranking. He continued with a series of exceptional performances last week in the Tour de Romandie. In 2010, he won the race (after Alejandro Valverde wasn’t allowed to take part due to drug abuse), both last and this year he came in second.
The 27-year-old bicycle rider from Prekmurje began his professional career in the club Krka in Novo mesto. His next challenge will be the Tour de France on 5 July. He will be one of the three captains of the Russian Katjuša team.
