Flixbus, a German bus transport provider, uses a similar approach than low-budget airlines: the sooner passengers reserve their seats, the cheaper the tickets. Prices also depend on the number of vacant seats. The ticket can be booked through an app, and cancelled up to 15 minutes before departure.

Since its launch in 2013, the company has included numerous European cities in its wide network. In mid-June, the network will expand to Ljubljana, Postojna, Maribor, Bled, Koper and Portorož, which will be connected to 35 cities in other European countries.

Passengers will be able to travel from Ljubljana directly to Trieste, Venice, Turin and Milano in Italy, to Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt and several other cities across Germany as well as to Graz and Vienna (Austria).

The bus company will also offer direct connections with a number of Croatian cities and seaside destinations, which will certainly be in high demand during summertime: Rijeka, Crikvenica, Opatija, Šibenik, Trogir, Biograd na Moru and Split.

The buses also provide passengers with a free Wi-Fi connection.
