Police Public Relations Officer, Vesna Drole M.A., informs MMC that "in the course of its activities the Slovenian police has not acquired any information i.e. confirmed any suspicion that a training centre for Salafists exists in Slovenia, or that Islamist extremists were training in the Ljubljana forests."

The police also informs that it is aware "of the dangers of terrorism and the risks connected to it. We therefore put great focus on prevention and other measures for deterring such risks."

According to the reports published by Die Presse, Europol has not released any official information about Islamic State (IS) training camps in the European Union. However, on its website the daily says that many men have arrived in Slovenia across the until-recently-still-open Schengen borders in convoys of vehicles. The men arriving at the isolated building in a forest in the Ljubljana surroundings attended Islamist teachings or Muslim celebrations for the birth of children.

The Austrian daily writes that there, in the presence of Salafists from Germany, Luxembourg, Slovenia and Austria, the men radicalized, debated and trained with firearms. Local roads leading to the training centre are guarded. A Salafist movement from the Ljubljana suburbs is supposedly behind the training camp. The Ljubljana Salafists have also reportedly managed to send many extremists to the war zones in Iraq and Syria, writes Die Presse.

One path leads to Bosnia and Herzegovina
According to security sources, quoted by Die Presse, one terrorist trail leads to Bosnia and Herzegovina. For some time now international investigators have been monitoring the Gornja Maoča village in connection to terrorism. The Bosnian village is under the control of Wahhabists.
