"I have made my decision quite some time ago. I will postpone the official decision until everybody has made one. I can't lie: once the true competitive energy is gone, it is impossible to pretend it is still there. But a decision must be made," the best Slovenian skier of all times said for TV Slovenija.

Tina Maze frankly admits that after a 1-year break she has no intention of competing again in the World Ski Cup – not even in her favourite fast disciplines.

Maze stopped in Ljubljana at the occasion of the presentation of the children picture book Tina and Bear Strength (Tina Maze, true fairy tale), written by Primož Suhodolčan, and illustrated by Gorazd Vahen. After the presentation of the book 32-year old skier from Črna gave a statement for Televizija Slovenija, and gave a very clear hint that her career as a competitor was over.

In the meantime Vonn announces another comeback
Her greatest competitor Lindsey Vonn on the other hand is already announcing her preparations for the new season. "I love to ski, I like to ski fast, I like to compete, and consequently I also fall. I fall more often than most, but I always get up – because I do it with love. I would like to continue forever. Winning helps, of course, but above all I like to ski fast," Vonn said. The injury which interrupted her last season is not troubling her any more.
