The three-day festival called Speculum Artium, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, is a festival that transformed Trbovlje from a once-dead industrial town into a new media place. This time with the largest number of projects combining art, science, and technology.

With more than 25 art-and-science projects, the festival will try to introduce this new media culture, the possibilities of using the new media technology and its connection to the classical visual techniques to the broader audience in an interesting and interactive way. Several Slovenian new media creators will also show their work.

The Stroj, an art collective of drummers, will open the festival in the cinema of Delavski Dom Trbovlje with an experimental performance.
