The building permit issued for the property has been approved by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia. The building will be rebuilt in accordance with applicable heritage guidelines.

110-year-old heritage building lost to the city
The burnt-down mill was in danger of collapse, and an emergency demolition was ordered. In order to obtain a building permit, the municipality had to create 3D scans of the burnt-down structure.

The building is a remarkable example of 20th century industrial architecture. It's one of the last remaining examples of such architecture in Celje. By tearing down the remainders of the building, both the city and the country of Slovenia lost a 111-year-old cultural heritage site.
