This will help normalise the current situation, but it's not a final solution. The University Medical Centre Ljubljana faces staff shortages and old infrastructure. The working conditions still need to be improved with extra teams and a newly built ER. The Ministry of health said that a new ER will be built in the next two years.

For now some patients have to wait up to 6 hours to receive treatment, with less doctors the waiting time would increase up to 10 hours. The public call to build the new ER is in the making and a contract could be signed by the end of the year.
