The footbridge from the beginnings of the 90´s, that connects the embankments Cankarjevo and Hribarjevo nabrežje, will be replaced by a new construction.

According to the architects the new footbridge will reflect the ideas of architects Maks Fabiani, Alfred Keller and Jožef Plečnik from the beginnings of the 20th century. The old construction will be replaced a by new one, made of steel, glass and it will also be heated.

The building of a new footbridge on one of the most frequently visited spots of Ljubljana will surely affect the business of local caterers. But the Municipality of Ljubljana is confident that they will be rewarded in the upcoming years.
