In his message, entitled ''Slaves no more, but brothers and sisters'', the Pope has warned that there are too many different forms of slavery in today's modern world, and that we are paying too little attention to the suffering of fellow men and women.

The first Catholic leader has also called for end to human trafficking, appealing to consumers to shun goods that may have been produced by exploited workers.

Zore added that there is no need to look at this globally, but instead we should see it in the national context, as there are many homeless people and those begging for money and food all over Slovenia, including the capital Ljubljana.

According to the Archbishop, we should strive to do more for the globalization of brotherhood and solidarity, insetad of focusing on goods, capital and profit.
