Over the past 28 years, the museum has been visited by more than 700,000 people. This year's main speaker was Petra Svoljšak, head of the Milko Kos Historical Institute at the SRC SRSU and vice-president of the National Committee for celebrating the 100th anniversary of the First World War. The Slovenian President Borut Pahor and Hungarian President János Áder also paid a visit to the Kobarid Museum and the Church of the Holy Spirit on Javorca plateau.

With the fast approaching 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, the most visited museum in Slovenia is about to exceed the number of 60,000 visitors, explains the director of the Kobarid Museum Martin Šolar with satisfaction: "About a third of all visitors come from Italy, the rest are locals, Slovenians representing a fifth of the visitors, followed by German-speaking tourists. We are strengthening our cooperation not only with the neighbouring Foundation of the Peace Path but also with the tourist economy in the Upper Soča Valley. In any case, we want to offer the so-called unique experience. The Slovenian Tourist Organization has prepared a new tender for five-star experience offer."

The museum will compete in the tender with a tourist package consisting of an hour-and-a-half-long tour of the museum followed by a guided tour of the remains of the Isonzo Front in the vicinity of Kobarid.
