Koper Police were late last year notified that the unknown perpetrator in November last year swindled the casino out of at least 11,000 euros. During the investigation the police received evidence that the offense was committed by a 47-year-old Italian and 37-year-old Slovenian citizen, who hacked into the information system of the gambling saloon and accessed the databases of the casino where he changed the values of individual gaming vouchers, which were previously provided by his partner.

After he changed the values of the vouchers from a few euros to the value of 400 or 500 euros, the Italian citizen returned to the premises of the casino and exchanged the vouchers for money at a self-service checkout. The Slovenian citizen then tried to erase any traces that would confirm the invasion in the information system of the casino and the presence of an Italian citizen at the premises, but in this, he was not successful.
