In accordance with Slovenian regulations and the border arbitration award, 25 Croatian fishermen are entitled to receive one-year licenses for fishing in Slovenian waters. However, the Croatian fishermen do not want them, as they believe the sea border has not yet been defined. Croatian state TV reports that the fishermen will not apply for the permits, because by doing so they would recognize the border as defined by the arbitration tribunal.

Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec already announced that Slovenia will send a draft lawsuit against Croatia to the European Commission next month, over its failure to implement the border arbitration award.
