"Cviček" has been around since the Middle Ages. Foto: BoBo

Even Valvasor wrote about Marvin, which probably came from the German word "Markwein." Slovenes later dubbed it cviček because of the slightly acidic taste and the name was so popular that it stuck with the wine all the way until today. The wine itself is a mix of various grapes, including Blue Franconian and Italian Riesling. But you definitely know it when you taste it.
