Maribor lost the game with 1:0, after Thorgon Hazard converted a penalty kick in the 29th minute. Coach Ante Šimundža said his players made too many individual mistakes. Maribor had the majority of the ball posession and created a lot more goal chances but failed to score. This was Maribor's third loss and they're now at the bottom of group D. However they still have a theoretical chance of finishing second and qualifying for the play-offs. Russia's Rubin Kazan heads the group with 10 points. English side Wigan is in second place with 5 points, followed by Zulte with 4 and Maribor with 3.
