Most responsible for the Heat's success was center Hassan Whiteside with 27 points (a season record), 13 rebounds and 6 blocks. Goran Dragić, together with Kelly Olynyk, was Miami's second best scorer. In 33 minutes Dragić scored 15 points (shooting 6/13), adding 5 assists and 4 rebounds. He also had 6 turnovers.

The Milwaukee Bucks have now lost twice to Miami in just four days. Milwaukee's top scorer was Khris Middleton with 25 points. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 22 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

"He was a monster tonight. You could see it from his very first block, you could see it from his very first over-the-top rebound, you could see it from his very first drive that he was playing with a different aggressiveness." Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra praised Whiteside's game. Coach Spoelstra was nervous in the closing moments of the match. However, with only 12 seconds to go Goran Dragić "calmed" him down by converting two free-throws to make it 104:98.

Miami continues its away game series on Friday when it faces the Brooklyn Nets.
