President Pahor spoke about the importance of preserving the Slovenian language at Villa Podrožnik in Ljubljana. That’s where he met with representatives from the institutions that had initiated the project, whose aim is to increase the literary culture of the Slovenian people. Pahor formally submitted the paperwork that makes him the honorary sponsor of the project; he also expressed his wish that young people enjoy writing and develop their imaginations.

Several institutions in Slovenia that foster the spirit of reading have long organized various activities. This year, they joined forces for the first time to launch the National Month of Group Reading.
