The presentation had a major success and was selected the best presentation of a State in 1994 next to the presentation of Japan. The first Slovenian web-pages were established by Mark Martinec together with his co-workers in the Nation supercomputer centre at IJS on a CONVEX C3860 computer.

They were followed by the establishing of websites of universities and academic research institutions. Slovenian companies, Media and public administration began to run their internet pages soon after that.

Slovenia indicated itself on the internet as a dynamic and technologically advanced country, Academic and Research Network of Slovenia (ARNES) told in a press release today. To mark the Anniversary the JSI established a memorial website.
