Slovenia is in the top three at producing cars

Japan, Germany and the United States are the biggest carmakers in the world. Together they produce around 20,000,000 automobiles a year. However, if you look at cars produced per capita, Slovenia is suddenly in the top three. Thanks to the large Renault plant in Novo Mesto, Slovenia produces about 63 cars for every 1,000 people. That’s about the same rate as both Japan and Germany. And ahead of the United States.
