Medical Director Darja Arko will now be only one pay grade lower than the general director, and that is in the 59th salary grade. The director’s assistants will be in the 55th salary grade.
Otherwise, the UKC Maribor council session was mostly spent on resolving the strained relations between the members of the council and the hospital management. The council president Ljubo Germič called on the council members and hospital management to hold a vote of confidence on his work. According to Germič, the reason for him demanding the vote were the recent attempts to discredit his work, as well as recent remarks on staffing and bribery within the UKC.
"I cannot work as council president if I am the target of anonymous complaints, slander, lies and many other things. Taking into account that this practice has become an integral part of our public communication, I thought it would be right for me to mention this and demand the trust of the members of the council," said Germič.
The council members of UKC Maribor once again unanimously backed Germič as council president, and demanded from the hospital management to organize a joint meeting in order to resolve all the disagreements which are ever more evident and negatively influence the hospital’s work.
