Fallen trees damaged cars and buildings and also brought down power lines. Elektro Maribor reported that 200 customers were still without electricity. They said they were working to repair the grid as quickly as time would allow.
Fallen trees also blocked roads, including the one from Trzin to Ljubljana, while strong winds flipped over a small passenger plane by Ljubljana’s airport. The environmental agency reported wind speeds of up to 70 km/h in places.
