Branko Masleša is in fact the president of the senate which will rule on the request for the protection of legality in the Patria case. The senate session will therefore convene, as planned, on Tuesday.

Franci Matoz, the attorney of the convicted president of the opposition SDS party, Janez Janša, wanted to disqualify the Supreme Court president Branko Masleša from taking part in any senate decision on the Patria case in the summer already. However, Supreme Court judges have rejected the demand.
