The 48-year-old Prosinečki does not keep it a secret that he's been in talks for a meeting with the Football Association of Slovenia (NZS). "We've talked on the phone. We'll probably sit down to talk in a few days and we'll see what my expectations are and what NZS expects," explained Prosinečki in an interview for TV Slovenija.

After spending nearly three years at the helm of the Azerbaijan football team, he's looking for new challenges. "Slovenia has a good team, its members play in Italy, Germany, France, everywhere. They possess quality, there's potential."

Players need to get motivation
He doesn't promise miracles, head coaches are quite limited in how much they can do as there is very little time for practice before the matches. "It's not possible to make key changes in so little time. We need to motivate the players and find their optimal position on the field. One cannot make miracles in four days. But members of the Slovenian team play in their own clubs and can adapt to all formations."

Zagreb is nearby, which might be another factor for deciding to lead the Slovenian team. His family currently lives with him in Baku. "When I think about moving, the first thing I check is the situation with schools, how the country takes care of children. Then my wife and I discuss if it fits us, too. Family is the most important factor."

There's not time to waver. The Bosnian football association is also in talks with Prosinečki about a potential meeting.
