Last year, on the 7th of March, Primož Jeralič took Nina to be his wife at an unforgettable wedding ceremony in the Postojna Cave. It was all recorded by TV Slovenija cameras as Nina and Primož were the fourth winning couple of the TV-weddings competition in the Good Morning (Dobro jutro) show.
An accident while skiing
The 33-year-old paralympian from Ivančna Gorica will represent Slovenia in Rio in the road race (15th of September) and in the time trial race (14th of September) in the H5 class. Jeralič became disabled after a skiing accident: "Snow from the south surprised me and I fell on a log with my back." He was never into cycling before the accident, but he was a promising athlete. He did not spend a lot of time contemplating his situation on his wheelchair, and a friend, who was already into para-cycling, soon got him excited about the sport. Para-cycling is becoming more and more popular. Four years ago there were only around 15 para-cyclists in Slovenia, but now there are already more than a hundred. Primož will be the only Slovenian representative in cycling at the Paralympic Games Rio.
