The results of the public opinion survey conducted for RTV Slovenija by the Mediana agency between June 30 and July 1 among 600 Slovenian adult citizens show that 51% of the interviewed will definitely vote, 14.7% answered that they will probably vote, while 24.2% definitely will not vote, and 5.8% most likely will not vote. A bit more than 4% remain undecided whether they will vote on July 13.
From the decided voters, i.e. those who know and are willing to tell who they would vote for were the elections this Sunday, 38.2% would decide for SMC, 15.9% for SDS and 10.1% for DeSUS. The parliamentary threshold would pass also SD (7.7%), NSi (7.6%), ZaAB (5.1%) and SLS (4.1%).
These parties are followed by the United Left Coalition (2.6%), PS Positive Slovenia (2.2), SNS Nationalists and the Pirate Party (1.7% each), the Green Party and the Civic List (0.9% each), the I Believe Party (0.5%), the Equal Citizens – Forward Slovenia Party (0.4), the Humana Party (0.2) and the Liberal Economic Party (0.0).
The number of respondents who answered they would vote for another party has increased since the previous survey (conducted between June 23 and 26), i.e. 12.3 percent – a week ago such answer was given by 2.4%. It is surprising however that no respondent answered he will vote for no party (a week ago 7.9 percent gave that answer). The others still don't know who they will vote for (7.0), or don't want to say (2.2) or won't participate at the elections (3.1).
NSi improved the most
The comparison with the first Mediana survey shows that New Slovenia gained the most (3.3 percent of decided voters in the previous survey increased to 7.6), SMC is gaining support as well (last week 33.9, now 38.2), and the same goes for DeSUS (8.4% in the first survey) and for ZaAB (from 4.8 to 5.1%). SDS is losing support (last week 20.6 percent, now 15.9), the same happened to SD (from 10.5 to 7.7) and to SLS (previously 5.1, now one percent less).
