The village of Sromlje has turned yellow. The cause: thousands of daffodils have started blooming there.
The flowers have proven to be a popular draw. Five years ago, the tourist association planted 3,500 daffodils in the village. They continued to add more. At this point, there are around 6,000 daffodils. The head of the local tourist organization said more was to come, and that the flowers would soon number around 20,000.
