The coalition managed to collect 48.000 signatures in the first four days of its campaign. It has thus decided to stop collecting signatures. Zevnik explains that they do now wish to burden the administrative units, and instead plan to use their time to persuade voters to take part in the referendum.

The co-head of the coalition, Metka Zevnik, added that their plan is to spread their message through the media and by taking part at various events. She added that their referendum campaign will "embrace Slovenia" and explain to the voters why it is important to take part in the vote.

If the coalition does file its request for a referendum this week, the referendum would then take place between the 6th and 20th of December.
